@Milanese Custom Shoes "Messina"
Black calf Adelaide oxford
Via A.Volta 5 Milan
The third order in Messina is a black pair called "Adelaide". As well as known for, Italian gentlemen prefer brown shoes rather than black shoes. To tell the truth, most of the sample was in brown. However, there were some black lace-up including evening slippers.They were probably delivered to the Minlanese customers. I didn't mind but I was very interested in black shoes. I asked Maestro "Messina" whether fine black calf was in stock or not. He showed me the finest one from Germany "Carl Freudenberg". I made a decision to order a black pair and started to look for a particular model from house samples. I found an old Adelaide pair in brown. They looked like authentic style but the part of the lace-stay was laid on the shoe-upper. I asked Maestro to make the same style in black. Only one thing, the sample was not finished in beveled waist so I asked to change. Maestro pleasantly undertook to do and interpreted me that black lace-up shoes were usually finished in beveled waist.
